Ten Hot Showers
Captain America | Set after Captain America #619 [spoilersahoy!]
General| T+ | 1458 words

I'm pretending that Bucky and Nat took a moment before jumping into the shitfray of Fear Itself #3.

The water was scalding to the touch but still it wasn’t hot enough for him. Scarred and scabbed (human) fingers blindly poked through the dense fog for the tap, which could not turn left anymore. He sighed and retracted his fingers, clawing them against his skin furiously for the countless time that day, kneading and scrubbing because all those dirt and grime and blood seemed to have permanently seeped below his skin and he wished that the water could just boil his skin off, and he could shed it like a snake and be born anew.

omg when is season 2 coming out. WHAT A CLIFFHANGER. But Steve's okay, isn't he? :(

personally I think if they want to do the Fallen Son storyline, they should do it after Civil War so we can watch Tony torture himself with grief oops did I just write that haha

I hope I can get around to making gifs out of this show. So many precious expressions.

I think I'm going to especially use Hulk's and Balder's above faces a lot in the foreseeable future.

Thoughts!

awright, back to chinese historical dramas and slashing basically everybody inside because seriously they make it so easy. Even though I don't think slash is something widely accepted among Chinese fangirls/boys (pretty weird just how different they are from the Japanese fangirls!) and I half expect somebody to find my other LJ (which lately has been dedicated to obsessing about historical characters millenia ago... and Doctor Who; it's not a private blog, just filled with a lot ) and accuse me of blasphemy or something but please, it's an open secret that homosexuality was widely accepted in ancient China. And I'm sorry that this attitude has regressed (coinciding with China's relative decline compared to the West a few centuries ago) >:(

i can't even keep a straight face reading the synopsis for this mini series but of course i have to read it

A mysterious Cosmic Entity has recruited five brave patriots for the ultimate commando mission. Their names are legend: The U.S. Agent, American Dream, Commander A, Captain America, and ... Captain America?! But what threat is so grave that two Captain Americas are needed? Who will lead the team? Can even these mighty heroes save our nation -- and the world -- in time? And what is the AmeriCommand? New York Times best-selling author Roger Stern (AMAZING SPIDER-MAN) joins forces with artist Phillipe Briones (AMERICAN SON) to provide the answers!
seriously, apart from Forever Allies, there's criminally too few mini series on bucky as cap :(

More Avengers EMH in the gym! But before I start, I just want to thankyou everybody who has been entertaining me going crazy over Bucky and over EMH. I love Beijing, but I would be lying if I say I don't get lonely here sometimes, and I feel especially alone this week, so I'm very grateful for all of you!

Avengers EMH S01E22 and S01E23: ULTRON. Also known as: CRYING FOR HANK PYM FOREVER. Train of thought behind the cut as usual.

ULTROOONNNN )

I'm still not sure if EMH would show Hank's depression (they definitely won't show that infamous slap... would they?), but if they are, this is definitely the start of that slide. I love that the show focuses a lot on how Hank was originally a scientist who was forced into this crazy world of superheroics for REVENGE when his wife (Maria Pym) was kidnapped in front of him and KILLED. He's just a sensitive, kind hearted dude who just wants to make things right in his own terms. So when everything he does goes against him (Ultron--WHICH IS NOT HIS FAULT--people looking down on him as a superhero, etc), his spiral into depression makes sense. I hate the fact that The Slap is such a defining trait of his character, but it's true--I'd just say, it's one of the many defining traits of his character, and I hate it even more when people forget the rest and just focuses on him. Everyone has his ups and downs in life, and The Slap happens to be one of Hank's. It's a horrible thing, but it also marks his path to redemption, and that in itself is a defining trait of his.

Wow okay sorry, I still Have A Lot of Feelings that just flood out of me hahaha oops. ;tl-dr, I love Hank and I love that this show isn't reinforcing many writers' (cheap and lazy) takes on him (not mentioning names bendis oops).

Might as well as just say it again: I love this show and everybody in it!

I watched episode 20 and 21 in the gym. I think most of the gymgoers have already marked me crazy for all the time I spend laughing and shouting at my MP4 player while on the treadmill for all the time I spend watching Doctor Who/Torchwood/Life on Mars/etc while sweating, but I think this time around they must have reconsidered just how crazy I am. Why is this show so good, oh man.

Let me share some of my thoughts!

cut for craziness )
so basically this show is a good safe haven to escape whatever is going on in the comics. god bless you, everyone involved in avengers emh. god bless you.

The comic itself was depressing already but reading all the press releases and interviews with Fraction, Brevoort and Brubaker add salt, spice, vinegar and oil to the wound.

Yeayea it's my fault for caring about fictional characters too much but let me moan will you
